Homeless still ;(

Well its the last day at the hotel. We either have to find a place today or spend the money and stay here until tomorrow which tomorrow morning we leave for our fam tour and we will be gone for about 8 days or so. I hope that we find a place and can move today so we dont have to worry about our bags and things tomorrow. I dont want to take it all with me on tour.

Things are GREAT!!!!!!

Church was good and there were a lot of people there from the lower 48 utah mostly. It was a good branch and the lessons were great and very informative. I wont be able to go very often due to the tour that I will be driving. I am so excited to get working and things are going to be great.

I hope that tomorrow we can find a place to stay. We thought we had a place but the landlord gave it to somebody that was renting a lot longer then we were going to so, we are back to square one. There are still a lot of options so its not a lost cause yet. Remember about that housing fund!! Haahaa.
So its been a couple of crazy days, meeting after meeting hour after hour. I havent done much anything else but sit and listen to people talk to us about the job and what we will be doing. I cant wait to get started and get on the road. Yesterday we took all the coaches out of the yard and drove around Fairbanks. I love to drive them. I am so excited to be here and to get to work.

We are still in the hotel, each day we all just move into another room that the company is paying for. As of today we will have to pay for the room but I think we are squeezing a ton of us into a room to make it dirt cheap. I think there is 10 of us or so.

We are getting ready to head to the singles ward. Its going to be interesting to go with everyone. Its been a great week and hopefully monday or so we can get into an apartment. I hope.

Kaleb has a home, maybe

I may not be homeless anymore, the funny thing about it all is that it is the place I had lined up to begin with but when I realized the amount that they were asking I turned it down. So we still have to wait on the application to go through but we are thinking on Sat to move in.

Its going to be a full house, I believe 5 guys and myself so 6 in all are going to be moving in making the rent really cheap. The first payment is going to be hard but I will make it work.

Also, I am accepting donations to my homeless fund located at any America First Credit Union account name Kaleb Astle. Haahaa jk. But seriously.

Hotels are boring!

Its raining and I have walked all around town looking for places. Now I am sitting in my room watching the five channels I get, Boring.

Arrival to Alaska

Well yesterday I made to Fairbanks, AK. After three flights and a night in Seattle. I am here. I am so excited to get started working but that's not the beginning of my journey.

Currently I am homeless and am staying in a company hotel, which was nice of them to provide but I am not sure where to go from here. I will have to take things has they come I guess.

I may just stay here until my first tour on the four of may, that way I can come up with some more money to even think about finding something more permanent. It will all work out for the best. Today thing are a lot clearer and I am not as stressed out.

I took a walk around town yesterday just to see what Fairbanks is all about. Its not anything that I was expecting. A bunch of abandoned buildings and drity walks, roads and everything inbetween. I sure there are much more to the city then what I was able to see.
